On April 30, 2026, we held a welcome party to greet two new members joining our lab. All lab members gathered together, enjoying a wonderful time over various handmade dishes. We were able to deepen our connections in a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the event, making it a memorable time for the lab.

“Zero to One” Entrepreneurship Workshop
We joined the “Zero to One” Entrepreneurship Program, a design thinking–based workshop at Ito Campus with Engineering students. Our team’s proposal, titled “災 Games”, was based on the workshop theme “Discover Japan’s Best Qualities and Promote Them to the World” and won the Best Award.

Good luck, MINA!
A key member of our research lab is about to head to Finland to start a new life as an international student. For this, we organized a farewell dinner after our group meeting. Enjoy your new experiences in Finland, Minahail!

Research planning and normal distribution
[Guest Lecture]
Professor CRUZ from Yamaguchi University shared insights on mathematical knowledge in research planning. We learned how to determine reasonable sample sizes before conducting surveys and how to identify various characteristics during data analysis. This interdisciplinary lecture truly helped broaden our horizons.

Sodes Bibimbap
We held a Sodes Bibimbap event in late autumn! Everyone used the ingredients they brought to co-create unique bibimbap bowls together. After the meal, we completed the first SodesLog together, sharing interesting things that have happened to us recently.

We welcomed two new lab members in the fall semester of 2025! To celebrate this, we held a dinner gathering! Everyone prepared dishes representing their own culture, and all lab members gathered to celebrate this worthwhile moment. Furthermore, two special guests from outside the lab also participated, and we had a memorable evening.

GGJ Botanical Garden PR
The One person one flower 2025 is a event held by the Fukuoka City Botanical Garden. where organizations, citizens, and companies involved in the One person one flower Movement gather together. As a partner we have collaborated with in the GGJ(Global Goals Jam) over the past three years, we were invited to present our recent achievements from the GGJ to the public at the botanical garden on this day.

Presentation at the SDAFST Autumn Conference
We participated in the presentation at the 2025 Society for Arts and Industrial Design Autumn Conference, where members of the laboratory presented papers related to their master's research.

OKAMURA Co-creation Project Ⅳ
We gathered at the OKAMURA co-working office in front of Hakata Station and continued to advance our collaborative project with OKAMURA and Hakuhodo. With the theme of "Future Office Space," we held a simple workshop, and wonderful sparks of inspiration flew between participants from different fields.

Global Goals Jam 2025 OITA
We participated in GGJ 2025 OITA! In Yabakei, Oita, there are beautiful rivers, terraced rice fields, and famous bicycle race tracks. With the theme of [Creating from the relationship between the watershed, satoyama, and daily life], we held a two-day citizen-participation design workshop after joining local festivals and trying local specialties.

Global Goals Jam 2025 FUKUOKA
We participated in GGJ 2025 FUKUOKA! Along with citizens from Fukuoka City, students from Yamaguchi University, and university students from China, we held a two-day design workshop with the theme of [Spin, Connect, Cycle]. By using design tools such as surveys, interviews, and the KJ method, we ultimately divided into six groups and completed four thematic tasks.

International Dumpling Festival！
On the day before the end of the summer semester, we held an international dumpling festival in the international student exchange room! The entire lab, seniors, middle school students, and school faculty gathered to prepare ingredients, roll dumpling wrappers, and make dumplings together! We ultimately shared a perfect lunch. Afterwards, we conducted an interview about the research topic of seniors and cooking.

Happy Birthday!
We celebrated Professor Zhang's birthday together in the office. In addition to homemade cookies, we prepared a flower arrangement gift, with each flower contributed by a different lab member.
